Allo my sweets,

Video is now posted on my page on fb and can burn dvds at some point. I will also try to find some time to do an extended/uncut mix of the video antics.

Permanent Vacation!!

Just imagine - we could have weeks/weekends/months like this ALL THE TIME if we all won the lottery this Saturday.....it's $43M.
Want to go in on a group ticket? It would be way more fun if we were all millionaires together....

Movies

Not that we may have time or interest in watching one given the multitude of activities we are hoping to cram into the weekend, but I am bringing 3 movies:
  • Milk
  • Pineapple Express
  • Zack and ?? make a porno.
The last two may be better enjoyed after dessert kicks in.

Snowshoeing trails

The description of our cottage says that it is right next to a snowmobile trail.....which sounds great....except that it turns out that it is actually illegal to snowshoe on those trails.
I don't know about you guys, but I'm not sure I want to snowshoe on the lake, since we don't really have the tools for testing how thick the ice is....
So....I've been trying to find info on hiking/snowshoe/cross country trails nearby but have come up empty. Anyone have any info or know where we can get info on where we can snowshoe? Maybe we can just go in the forest near the cottage, but since the privacy rating for the cottage is the lowest, I'm guessing that there won't really be forest around the cottage.....

okay!  problem solved.... thursday night grocery shopping date...me carolyn melissa gemma (and stokes too??) can go out and get the shopping done.  i will put it all on my card and then we will divide it evenly between 10 people.  We're thinking it should cost us all about $40 per person for food.

okay??
for 10 people:

Menu. Friday Cheese&bread fondue (bread, cheese etc)
                         Meat fondue(broth, chicken, shrimp??beef)
chocolate fondue (melted chocolate and fruit)

SAturday menu:
Brunch (eggs.bacon, toast, coffee, milk, cream, juice)
Dinner (chili, salad, cornbread, tortillas, guacamole, salsa)
                     dessert special brownies

sunday menu: Brunch eggs bacon, coffee, bread

snacks chips, cookies, sweet stuff, veggies/dip/hummous

orrrr... i also like the suggestion of everyone contributing to a part of the meals.  Melissa has cheese fondue and chili covered.  I have choco. fondue/fruit and chili/cornbread covered.

who want the rest of the stuff?

also, maybe the boys can bring the snackfood and some wine...
carolyn can you bring your blow up mattress??
okay... here is the tally as it stands now.
carolyn, gemma, melissa, amrit, alex, me, stokes, jamie, kingston pete, steve the manly witch,

that's 10 people. 1150 /10 is $115 per person. i will refund the money after the remaining people pay.

what are we doing for the rest of the food/booze.  I am doing the chocolate for the fondue (but we still need the fruit) and i made chili (melissa making chili too) and i am making corn bread for saturday night.  I propose doing what we discussed already: someone does the remaining shopping and everyone splits the bill evenly.  BOOZE :BYOB to drink and share.

sound good?  thoughts? contributions?

the first planning step online

Ok, Let's try to keep this simple.

Friday dinner - Melissa - cheese fondue

Saturday brunch - not sure the plan here - Stokes and Jamie said they may take this on but we need to confirm

Saturday dinner - Melissa - chili

Sunday brunch - panini's I think - Melissa - spicy salami and provolone

My thought is if we each add something on to each meal then we will have plenty of food. Of course, we will all bring snacks and drinks. I'm sure the grocery store isn't that far away if we are short something. Um, official guest list (to my knowledge) - me, Amrit, Carolyn, Lori, Alex, Gemma, Stokes, Jamie - do we have any additions or deletions?

I thought I would take the first step in planning. You guys know I am flexible and if I seems off the mark on something, let me know.

Together we can plan a great weekend - we always do.
