the first planning step online

Ok, Let's try to keep this simple.

Friday dinner - Melissa - cheese fondue

Saturday brunch - not sure the plan here - Stokes and Jamie said they may take this on but we need to confirm

Saturday dinner - Melissa - chili

Sunday brunch - panini's I think - Melissa - spicy salami and provolone

My thought is if we each add something on to each meal then we will have plenty of food. Of course, we will all bring snacks and drinks. I'm sure the grocery store isn't that far away if we are short something. Um, official guest list (to my knowledge) - me, Amrit, Carolyn, Lori, Alex, Gemma, Stokes, Jamie - do we have any additions or deletions?

I thought I would take the first step in planning. You guys know I am flexible and if I seems off the mark on something, let me know.

Together we can plan a great weekend - we always do.

:)

Also, I am going to MEC this weekend to reserve some snowshoes... anyone care to join me?

  3. Yay! Sounds like Amrit is in! Trina can't make it unfortunately.

    I will do:

Friday night: meat fondue (I would need to borrow a fondue pot....if nobody has one, I'll pick one up. I think it's the one kitchen thing I don't already own besides a bread maker:)

Weekend snacks: chocolate chip cookies and banana bread. Not cleanse friendly or diet friendly...so I guess you'll have to snowshoe faster to burn the extra calories

Booze: Vodka & soda and wine

  4. Remember that our last cottage had several fondue pots. I know we can't rely on that. I'll see if my mom has one I can bring

  5. cleanse is only on the sunday so trust me, fri and sat will be a junkfest for sure!

I can bring tortillas salsa, guac and sour cream to go with the chili and as a pre-din snack. I will also bring/do the special brownies

    Wine is a given.

If I got tequila, triple sec and a boatload of limes, who would be interested in going in on group margaritas to kick off Sat night?

  6. Gemma - check out CBC.Ca and see if they have an archive of a radio show they did about cleanses. They talked about which ones work, which are scams, etc. I can't believe you are starting a cleanse at the cottage!!! You have WAY more will power than me.

  7. will do. it's the wild rose one and essentially i can eat lots of good stuff on it, i just need to prescribe to something specifically or else I'll never do it. it's at least starting on the sunday - try to find 12 consecutive days where i have no eating or boozing commitments is very very hard!!!
