2009 Ski Day

So.....does Saturday March 7 work for everyone to do a ski day? Leave in the morning, egg mcmuffin on the way up, ski for the afternoon, apres-ski drink at the pub, drive back for pot o' chili at my place.....
the more the merrier as far as I'm concerned - we can make it a girl trip or co-ed.... thoughts?

  1. I say girl trip! the only thing is... my daddy asked me to go skiing that weekend and he NEVER asks me to do anything. it's still up in the air though. i will find out very soon if i can go that weekend.

    it sounds like fun!

  2. OK - let us know as soon as you can so we can start inviting people other people too!
I'm sure Laura Delves, Julie, Kirsten, etc would be in too! Gemma, do you think Carrie would come? Will Amrit be able to ski by then?
If the 7th doesn't work, we could do the 14th. The way I see it, the later we go, the warmer it will be...but I'm sure there will still be snow since we've had so much!

  3. Either day works for me. Also, boys or no boys, is up to those of you with boys to invite. I highly doubt Amrit will be ski ready by then but I'll put it out there.

  5. OK - so let's get the planning underway....
    First of all, LOCATION!

Blue is fun - and there are bars - but it's a long drive
Horseshoe is closer and I think has a small bar and areas for non-skiers to snowshoe
Devil's Elbow is really close, also has snowshoe areas, is not licensed, but you can bring your own booze to drink in the chalet.

    Thoughts? other suggestions?

  6. I'll go anywhere..... Blue is a long drive if we're not staying overnight, but i'd still be up for it if you guys are.

  7. I don't car which place we go. A place with snow shoeing may be a good idea for me, save me renting equipment. I think you skiers should decide as you want hills that are fun.
